Corporate Policy

We usually use the word "Information" without paying much attention. The Japanese translation of this useful word, "Joho", started to be used in the Meiji era. Since then, the meaning has been evolving throughout the ages.

For example, until not long time ago, "information" was referred to as something expressed in facts and numbers such as "who, where, what, when, and how". Now, the word "information" has entered into a new stage due to the change in communication.

Rapid progress of science and technology, especially technical advancement around the Internet, has great impact on our business and our life style. In today's information society where we are interdependent on one another through the Internet, communication has become absolutely more essential than ever. However, we face communication gap from time to time although various communication tools are available. This could cause uneasiness and lack of trust, and prevent us from enjoying our fruitful life as well as business success.

The English word "information" has its root in "informare", which has the meaning of "to give form to".
